South Sheffield Aerial Anomaly

October 17 / 23:00hrs -- A bright orange light in the sky situated 3-4 miles away over the moors which separate Sheffield from Manchester was seen by witness Gavin S. while walking home on the south side of Sheffield.

Says Gavin in his report: "The object was straight in front of me and I could get a really good perspective of how big it was because compared to the houses at the bottom of my road it was about one third the size of the house roof.

"It was a clear night at 11:00pm and I could clearly see that it was hovering over near the moors for some 20 seconds then when I stopped walking at the top of my road the object seemed to turn anti-clockwise and move away from me until it vanished approximately 8-10 seconds later."

He adds: "At first glance the object didn't seem to have any shape to it looking more like a cotton wool ball, but as I stood and took a good look at it you could clearly see that it had some sort of main oval body with some sort of reflection or energy going slightly from behind it. "

Gavin believes the anomaly should have been easily visible to others in the south Sheffield area and is anxious to hear from anyone who might be able to corroborate his sighting, perhaps even able to explain it.
