I'm mulling over the idea of reviving our FarShores Forum once again. As some longtime visitors will recall, at its peak it was an extremely popular, thriving, vibrant source of information and dialogue, with around a thousand members. The present situation surrounding a heavily censored version was brought about by the impact of continuous spamming and I quickly got irritated dealing with this collective of global amoeba's. I resolved then either to track down each individual, making sure personally they choke on their own spam, or deny access to everyone ;) The desire was there to carry out the former option but having a life, unlike them, meant I was obliged to choose the latter. Now I'm reduced to posting just a few of my incoming emails etc., and this only takes place from time-to-time. Lately I've come to regard the forum as something of an ongoing wasted opportunity. I'd like to change that.
Due to my many other commitments and interests that lie outside the paranomaly arena, if these forum boards do get reinstated I shall definitely be looking to assign at least one, preferably two, moderators to ensure its smooth operation. If you have an enthusiastic, abiding interest in the broad subject matter found on this website (some actual knowledge would be a asset!), have a sense of humor (crucial), are diplomatic when the need arises, can generate and develop useful, constructive debate when called for, plus a little regular spare time, I'd really like to hear from you. Email me: farshores[at] inorbit.com. Er, there is no salary involved, sorry. Power and near virtual autonomous control of the boards should be enough! I'll probably poll all visitors soon on the need, or otherwise, for a return to the old style interactive forum. If you wish to see this take place, please look for it and vote when you can. It's pretty clear there is interest in initiating a interactive message board from the poll results so far.
Because of the Bravenet pop-ups that some people are experiencing while it is in place, I have subsequently deleted it from this page.
Watch for further announcements on when the board will get underway.
A live webcam established and operating near Egypt's Giza pyramids consistently throws up aerial anomalies, a number of which have defied explanation. So many are there that the website even includes a UFO Review Slideshow. PyramidCam is one of a 110 paranomaly webcam links to be found on FarShores here.
On March 30, yet another unexplained object was captured in the sky by this camera. Prior to processing the image FS wondered if the anomaly were an insect but is left guessing after removal of digital noise from the original screen capture and other enhancements.
The Italian website 'Terni in rete', examined another recent photo and you can visit via this e-trans link here and view the pyramids picture, along with a further six images focussing on the mystery. Terni in rete appears to suggest that the unexplained object is scorpion-shaped and concludes (perhaps tongue-in-cheek) that it is somehow linked to the star Antares. FS thinks this object is not a Ufo, nor a plane but most likely a bird.
(05.03.07) - Good for Massimiliano Mattei, of Terni in rete, he tells me that PyramidCam owner Jim Sorensen has confirmed the mysterious "scorpion"-shaped object in the sky was indeed a local bird. The link to Massimiliano's web page now reflects this new information.)
However, with the ancient pyramids now under such close 24 hour scrutiny, perhaps it's only a matter of time before a conclusive explanation will be found for so much anomalous activity and just maybe it is otherworldly. [posted 2007.05.02]
