Colombian ufologist William Chavez, in talking with Caracol Radio, reported that over the weekend there were seven sightings of UFOs in the municipalities of Tabio and Tenjo [Cundinamarca] and that since early January, such activity has been pretty constant.
Chavez said that on Saturday night there were between 50 and 60 people camping when the first object appeared. Some had cameras with them when a craft landed very close to a farm, and the sighting was so clear that one man could see windows in it.
He claimed that he and many others saw a further six objects and described one as having a squid-like, or octopus, form which turned a blue color. It was then that some of the campers started screaming and shouting.
For William Chavez, the continued presence of UFOs has to do with the concern other beings have for this planet's global warming, and with the revival of active volcanoes in Colombia. The UFOs take their power from silicon which is in the craters of these geological features, he added.

El ufólogo colombiano, William Chávez, en diálogo con Caracol Radio, señaló que durante el fin de semana se presentaron varios avistamientos de Objetos Voladores No Identificados (OVNI) entre los municipios de Tabio y Tenjo.
El especialista explicó que fueron en total siete objetos que se presentaron en el cielo. "Realmente desde el primero de enero se vienen presentado constantemente".
Chávez, explicó que el sábado en la noche estaban reunidas entre 50 y 60 personas acampando, y fue cuando pudieron observar el primer objeto. "Estábamos con nuestras cámaras de video y fue cuando una nave aterrizó muy cerca a una finca, y fue tan clara la imagen que hasta se le notaban las ventanas".
El experto aseveró que después vieron otros seis objetos. "Por ejemplo uno de ellos tenía como forma de pulpo, giraba y tenía un color azul, y para confirmar que no estábamos locos pasó uno por encima de todos nosotros y la gente empezó a gritar".
Para William Chávez, la continua presencia de Objetos Voladores No Identificados, tiene que ver con la preocupación que tienen otros seres por el calentamiento global, y con la reactivación de los Volcanes en Colombia, ya que estos objetos toman energía del silicio que se encuentra en los cráteres de estos accidentes geológicos.
