Over many years British Columbian’s
have been witnessing hundreds
upon hundreds of unidentified
flying objects in the day and
night skies- and wanting answers
to what they’ve witnessed. This
is the purpose of investigating the
flood of reports that come over my
desk. Yes, many of the sightings
reported to HBCC UFO Research
do have an explanation, but many
others go unsolved, and remain a
complete mystery.
I have spoken to many, many
UFO sighters. One of the most
fascinating interviews was from a
witness who spoke out about the
“Kelowna Missing Time Experience”
(this incident was featured
on the Canadian TV show
“Creepy Canada”) where two
women observed a large green ball
hovering over the highway ahead
of them. Frightened, they turned
their vehicle around and headed
back towards Kelowna, B.C., only
to discover the next morning that
one of the ladies had a bad burn on
her tail bone and the other woman
had a lot of bruising to her body.
One of those women was hospitalised
and, to this day, still suffers
with an unknown medical condition.
There was a recent Kelowna
sighting (July 2, 2007) where two
UFOs appeared to be battling it
out over Lake Okanagan:
“According to a report submitted to HBCC UFO Research
a witness reported seeing two objects in the sky (one thin
and long, and the other triangular or possibly cone shaped).
After hovering for a while, a bang (like the sound of a gun)
was heard and the long shaped craft began to hurtle towards
the ground seemingly on fire and crashed into a lake.
Soon afterwards the craft reappeared out of the water and
headed towards another object in the sky, where a “Star
Wars” type fight seemed to take place. Another bang, but
much louder, was heard and the cone shaped UFO vanished.”
(From The “American Chronicle” online newssite.)
Another recent report comes from
the Tranquille area north of Kamloops,
B.C. This from a man, his
grandfather (Dr. John Bower), his
wife, Winifred Bower, his mother,
a social worker/English teacher,
Angela Linge, his father, Frederick
Linge a psychologist and his
younger sister, Rachel.
They were taking a break from
moving chores in the backyard
around 11:00 P.M.. They looked up
to the southern sky, just above the
mountaintops and saw six bright
lights flying around each other in
what seemed to him like they were
playing “tag” in the sky. The lights
were doing figure eight motions at
very high speed. They all watched
the lights for about ten minutes.
Then, the lights all formed a circle
shape in the sky, hovered there for
about ten seconds, then sped away
in every direction from the centre
of the circle. They moved so fast
that after about a second or two,
they were gone.
