In 1953-1954 I was a freshman at Harvard. One evening my friend Doug Gardner and I were strolling through one of the "yards" and I happened to look up and right over our heads (maybe about 1000 feet up) was semi circular blue glow similar to a neon light. In the middle of that was what looked like a jet flame. If you were to extend the blue glow it would have outlined a circular craft. Since it was at night, no other details were apparent and there were no running lights. The craft was moving very slowly and made no sound. Suddenly it shot straight up and disappeared in the distance - from horizontal to 90 degrees vertical in a split second. It didn't wink out. You could see it diminishing in the distance and it was out of sight in about three seconds. Being an avid sci-fi reader, I knew what it was, but actually seeing it gave me a touch of vertigo and a queasy feeling in my stomach. There was no lost time and I have never seen one since, but the memory is still fresh in my mind. A couple of years ago I met with a high school friend who had also been in my class at Harvard and he remembered us talking about the incident at that time.

My name is (name removed) and I am a 20 year old I.T student from Australia. I have just read your article about the red dots you saw from your hot tub. About 6-7 years ago a friend and I saw the exact same thing except there were 5 of them. They would disappear and then come back from nowhere it was like nothing I have ever seen before. The speed at which they could change direction was amazing. This is the first time I have bothered googling it to see what other people had seen, wish I had of had a camera at the time. Anyways if you know of anything interesting about them or more info please let me know.
Additional Information: The most accurate I can go with the date is that it was in 1997 and sometime between February and October I would say as I wouldn't have been out riding if it was the wet season (summer). As for the time it was after 10:00pm as that's when south park finished and my friend and I went for a ride so probably 10:40 ish. Yep the ones we saw were most definitely red, at first I had just seen it out of the corner of my eye and thought it was one of those flashing lights on plane wings but when I looked more showed up and they weren't blinking at all. Not quite sure of my bearings as far as NESW goes but I know exactly where I was standing so I will go out there sometime in the next day or two and check it out. No aircraft at all, none that I could see or hear anyway. The area where we saw them was a small town called Howard Springs about 30 kilometers out of Darwin (N.T Australia)- there is an airport about 38 k's north (Darwin's Main AP) and there is a very small light aircraft runway (dirt) about 16 k's to the south. There is quite a large airforce base to the south called Tindal AF base - "Tindal Air Force Base, the largest military base in Northern Australia, is 15 kilometers south of Katherine." - Katherine is about 298 K's away so it's not exactly close. They do often fly night missions during the dry season though, lots of training. I guess we watched them for about 20-25 seconds although two just disappeared after about 5 seconds then one returned shortly after disappearing (I am assuming it was one of the ones that had gone) and the remaining 4 seemed to just vanish after moving horizontally quite rapidly.

The time was around 8:00 ish, once just north east of Hope B.C. I saw a very bright light over a mountain to our left while driving the Hope Princeton Highway and I wrote it off as a cell tower on mountain. My lady friend and myself saw it, one and a half hours later. It was between Princeton and Keremeos. It was the same thing and it was as if it was following us. It just hung over the mountain ridges as we drove. We took a motel in Keremeos for the night and on my walk, meditation, I saw it in the distance come over the mountains. The super bright star and I thought it was a 737 jet with its landing lights on, getting ready to land in Penticton which was 30 or 40 miles away. It did some absolutely astounding maneuvers, turns so tight that no jet could do and it messed around for several minutes above me. I called my lady friend from the suite and she confirmed it was the same one we had seen earlier and then it parked in the sky above our heads, at maybe 5000 feet. We sat and watched until we got bored and went to bed. It took several minutes to come over the mountainous horizon and did some maneuvers. I have never seen any plane do that and it parked in the night sky with a halo around it until we went to bed. I really thought it was a West Jet 737 on approach to Penticton Airport until it did the crazy stuff and the park job.

I also saw the lights that night on my way home from work at Eglin AFB, FL. I was talking on my cell phone and commented to the person I was talking to that there was an aircraft putting out flares over the Air Force ranges north of the road. Like your other witness I did not see any colors like those in the video clips. They just looked like normal flares coming from the area that AC-130 gunships orbit while firing into the range. They don't do it often but I have seen flares in that area before.
I am certain that they were aircraft self defense flares. I can't explain the colors in the videos but if I had to guess I would say that the aircraft was dropping what we call a "cocktail" of flares. That means different kinds of flares put out at the same time to defeat a wide range of heat seeking threats. Each flare covers a different part of the spectrum and in some cameras may appear to be different colors.

This is a description of 2 incidents that occurred while I was stationed at Rhein-Main Air Base. I was there between 1978-1983.
Sometime in the summer of 1980 I was sitting in the backyard with a Lt. Col in the Air Force, a Danish engineer and 2 German stewardesses at their apartment on Otto-Hahn Strasse in Walldorf (they had a bottom floor so they had a small yard). I just happened to glance up and noticed what I thought was a commercial jet flying several thousand feet up. I thought it was a jet until I noticed that I could not see wings or a tail. I mentioned it to the others who also saw the object, cigar shaped with what may have been windows on the side (that's why my mind grabbed at a commercial jet). Since it was headed towards the sun my second thought was that it just they way the sun reflected on it but the Danish man grabbed binoculars and saw that there were no wings. The two stews became very upset and did not even look at the object as they stated they had seen enough UFOs for a lifetime and did not want to talk about it. I am sorry that I do not remember their names.
The second sighting the next year was really several weeks of sightings. Its kind a funny because everyone at Rhein-Main knew about it and watched them for a while before it became boring. There were two objects above the airport (since it is shared with the Frankfurt Flughafen) that were seen every night. They were straight up and looked at first like a star or planet until they moved. They would dart back and forth and would do a L shaped maneuver without stopping. My now ex-wife's brothers came over for a visit from the states and I told them the story of the UFOs and they laughed. I took them outside where I worked and without knowing if they were still up there told them to look up and there they were. It scared both of them pretty badly that they would not look up.
If it helps with credibility I was stationed with the 1945th Comm Group. I was involved with the Return of the 52 hostages from Iran in 1981; one of the aircraft seen in the pictures tail was 10T4 as I was the radio operator. As I said, for part of my time there I lived on Otto-Hahn Strasse in Walldorf, a short time in Worfelden and some years on the base at the housing area. Anyway, I have held these memories long enough and hopefully someone will come forward with pictures or verify the story.

At around 6:45 pm on December 4, 2005, a friend and I were outside on our back deck looking to the clear night sky facing west when we saw two large black triangle shaped objects move slowly and at a low altitude (500-1000 feet) directly over our house from the north west Mt. Davidson area to the south east. We live in San Francisco on the south east side of Mt. Davidson at the cross street of Terasita and Los Palmos in Miraloma Park. The two distinct objects that we observed were flying in side by side formation and appeared to moving as one.
Both craft were perfect equilateral triangles with pulsating dim star like cream colored lights on the three tips of triangle, six lights in total. They were most definitely two solid black large triangle shaped objects which from underneath appeared to be much darker than the night sky as they passed in front other stars in the sky. Because the moon had already set, the objects were very well cloaked (best way to describe it) against the blackness of space and could have easily been mistaken as constellations but they were moving slowly which is what caught our attention. The entire sighting lasted for approximately 30-45 seconds. The objects did not appear to change speed, direction or altitude and moved slowly together overhead until they dimmed out of sight near the south side San Francisco crossing over 280 to the north east of the San Bruno mountain range.
I have been an amateur astronomer for over twenty five years now and I can say with absolute conviction that these were definitely not conventional planes, a stealth bomber, satellites, blimps, helicopters, the International Space Station, meteorites or fire balls. These were two large solid triangles that move in perfect formation together and made absolutely no noise as traveled directly over head. The two craft were identical in size and were significantly larger than a 747 and was the most amazing sight to behold with ones own two eyes.
The weather conditions in San Francisco on December 4th were crystal clear and ideal for sky watching. The crescent moon had also just dropped below the south western horizon about 15 minutes prior before we witnessed what I consider now a one in a life time experience. We were both truly awe struck by what we had just seen to the extent that we felt it necessary to call into two local TV stations (CBS 5 & KGO 7) to report what we witnessed. I am in my late thirties and the other person in their early 40s. We both have always been rather skeptical of alien spacecraft visiting Earth simply given the vast distances between stars and the time required to travel such a distance without bending space/time. But having just seen these objects with our own two eyes, we now know that highly advanced craft do exist and which instinct tells one to be 'other worldly'. Neither of us had been drinking or in any other altered state of consciousness.
If anyone else saw any strange objects or lights in the Bay Area night sky last night please feel free to contact me. I consider this experience one of the most amazing events of my lifetime. Whether the objects were deeply classified military X-Project space craft or Alien cannot be proven but the objects had an eerie feeling to them in the way that they moved together and at the angle the triangles were positioned in flight. The profound impact of this event for me is that I now know that such highly advanced technology does exists regardless of its origin. I have not heard anyone else reporting what we saw last night in the media or on the internet but hopefully other people in the Bay Area witnessed the same event.

Time: About 4:15- 4:45 p.m.
This is getting strange. For the past 3 days now I am watching this object go from one side of the moon to the other in a straight line then stop dead in front of my house view. This happens at about 4:15- 4:45pm. This object then just stays there and moves with the moon. It is round and very bright. It is the only bright light in the sky. I took some video of this object and when I zoomed in, that's when the show really starts. This object moves up and down, side to side and glows. I thought maybe a star but NOT A CHANCE. It has a red light near the top middle that you can see then vanishes. It looks like a planet but I never knew of one to pass the moon like a stainless steel plane everyday and stop. I have amazing video of this event from 2 days now. It sometimes has a green neon glow around the object then it will just go clear and pulsate. I called my Dad who lives about an hour away and he saw the same thing with this red light thing and then it vanishes. I am near Lake Ontario just East of Oshawa and have read other sightings similar to this one. What is this thing?? People are starting to think I'm nuts. I have red somewhere these things happen alot near nuclear power plants?

I woke up and looked hard out the window as I do every morning and low and behold saw an orb moving against the wind at a good pace in a clear blue sky. I snapped several pictures and managed to get a good look at it through the telescope too, It was a big, perfectly round orb that appeared to be spinning rapidly. When I went to put the camera on Mpeg to shoot some video it moved on out of sight and when I ran up to the roof to see it was gone. In the photo you can see the other object at the bottom. If you look to the right of the orb you can almost make out something else that appears to be cloaked.
