Original headline: Moving and humming objects up there
Farmer Ron Cloutier and daughter Sarah, 12, have been taking, since July, pictures of luminous objects moving and changing shape in the sky above their farm at Bare Rock near Girouxville. The phenomenon is ongoing and they and other people who have observed it are at a loss to understand what’s really happening out there.
Using a Panasonic digital camera, model DMC-LC43, that takes still as well as moving pictures, Ron has recorded those events in the sky with the precise dates and times they occurred.
There are up to four very luminous objects at one time, but recently, a large sphere has started appearing in another part of the pictures, at the same time as the other shapes.
During the three last months, Ron and his daughter have been taking the pictures, sometimes from 10 p.m., often during the first hours of the morning and up to nearly 7 p.m.
Sarah describes the very bright, multi-coloured shapes as they appear on the family’s large television screen, successively as "a scorpion, a snake, a man, a worm and a dragon." The colours are bright and comprise orange, purple, green, blue and white and various shades.
"That’s the cutest thing I have watched for a long time," Ron comments as the pictures appear on the television to which he has hooked the camera. "I have no idea where they come from!"
He also says that they sometimes hear a "humming noise" and the dogs then "bark steady" at those objects in the sky.
For sure, U.F.O. means what the abbreviation stands for: unidentified flying object. By that definition, anything that cannot be precisely identified and is flying in the sky is a UFO. The moving pictures taken with the Panasonic indicate the objects move quickly and in various directions. Ron has observed a general trend for them to appear from a northerly direction and to end up towards the east. "And then, up they go in the sky and disappear," he said.
So, what’s the type of UFOs, in the strict sense of that abbreviation, the Cloutier family and some neighbours have been seeing during the last three months? Is it a natural phenomena having to do with the behaviour of light and gases in some specific circumstances? Or, something that human science has still to struggle to comprehend?
