Marked by the apocalyptic Biblical ‘end time’ prophecy, our information-oriented society is gradually turning into a target for leading mystic and metaphysical suggestions broadcast by the electronic media, and is getting entangled in the Satan nets of a cyberspace woven from the dark shadows of violence and chaos. The worship of paranormal phenomena, invisible worlds and weapons for mental and physical control has risen to a crescendo. Prominent wise men and prophets testify that ‘great miracles and signs’ in the sky and on the earth, along with moral and physical degradation, have accompanied mankind in all epochs. But who is responsible for them – alien ultratechnocrats colonizing the planet, or evil demons from the abyss of hell?

On the walls of the caves Merle and Cognac in France there are twenty thousand-year-old Cro-Magnon paintings of strange humanoids with skinny bodies, very big heads and large slanted eyes, dying by the arrows of prehistoric hunters. A 4500-year-old statue of a goddess on the Greek Cyclades also bears unbelievable anthropological resemblance to today’s ‘grey’ aliens from space. The magnificent civilizations of the Egyptians, Sumerians and Maya built their unique equipment, societies and religion in communication with ‘Gods’ who, they believed, came either from the stars or from the earth’s womb. In the Old Testament (Genesis 6:4 and Numbers 13:33) they are called ‘nephilim’ (giants or fallen angels); they had sexual intercourse with human beings resulting in giants and monstrous hybrids, which lead to the Deluge. They are described as mighty and wise flying humanoids and dragons, belonging to the reptilian race. In the Bible they are called ‘legion’ and ‘retribution’ for the sinful mankind. The fall of the ‘ancient dragon’, called Devil or Satan, and his angels is described in Revelation 13:9. Theologians call the fallen angels lucifugy. After they were cast from heaven, they fell deep into the caves under the ground, and turned into trolls, gnomes, kobolds and other light-hating creatures with supernatural demonic abilities, who resemble today’s descriptions of extraterrestrials.

The fate of the ancient civilizations of Africa, Asia and Central America, which communed with the ‘fallen angels’, wasn’t better than that of the destroyed by deluge, fire and brimstone human tribe from the Old Testament. Possessing technology and knowledge thousands of years ahead of their time (according to the Christian doctrine Satan is the creator of all earthly possessions), they rose like titans from the ashes of eternity, with nothing to foretell their appearance, and collapsed at the zenith of their power sharing the doom of Atlantis.

Stigmatized as servants of the Devil, the creatures ‘from space’ haunted the nightmares and everyday lives of our ancestors, brought omens and epidemics, kidnapped, raped, or confused people. Similarities with the modern phenomena UFO can be found in the Middle Ages too. The picture ‘A Christian tempted by a demon’ represents a demon coming out of a strange luminous sphere. St. Anthony described his encounter with demons: ‘hideous beasts with vacant black eyes and wizened bodies came out of an infernal fiery chariot’. Charlemagne (768-814), who conquered the Arabs and united Christian Europe, was seriously injured when a big sphere fell ‘like a thunder’ from the sky and knocked down his horse. During his rule there were plenty of ‘tyrants in the air and their air ships’, which the ruler defined as ‘evil’. Chroniclers testify that fiery spheres often flew above Paris, Florence and Avignon, the town of the Pope exile, in the fourteenth century, at the time of the black plague, which depopulated Europe. Glowing spheres infiltrated freely into locked rooms. The historian Philip Ziegler noted that a similar spheroid hovering above Vienna was successfully dismantled and fell to earth when a local priest performed an exorcising ritual. A stone statue of Virgin Mary was erected at that place in memory of the victory over the Evil. Paintings from that period represent a sky crowded with demons who throw arrows infected with plague towards the towns. For two hundred years hundreds of men and women in England found strange scars on their bodies, suffered from mysterious diseases, or acquired supernatural abilities. Other characteristics of the age of epidemics are the apogee of materialism, hedonism and corruption among the clergy, and the bloom of witchcraft, which are contemporary vices too.

The emblematic encounter with ‘flying saucers’ of the pilot Kenneth Arnold over the Rocky Mountains in 1947 marked the beginning of the chronology of the modern contacts with alien civilizations. It seems that in the last fifty-five years aliens have considered the Earth the main tourist attraction in this part of the galaxy. Contrary to expectations and although they are rarely located in space, UFO sightings in the atmosphere are now more often recorded. In April 1984 the National UFO Reporting Centre in Seattle registered four cases in a month, twelve years later they were 83 for the same period, and in March 2001 – 284. It turns out that many of the regions frequented by UFOs are the so called ‘transitional zones’ – zones with negative geopathogenic emanation, ancient sanctuaries for pagan rituals, or places where modern witches and Satan sects meet. In the USA such places are the Tuskarora Reservation near the Niagara Falls, Taconic Park to the north of New York, the drainage basin of the Alagash in North Maine, famous for an abduction case, the centre of the New Age Movement in Crestone, Colorado (where the mysterious "ant" people have been spotted for centuries), and the region around Phoenix, Arizona, with its field of old burial mounds.

As Ron Patton reveals, the modern UFO phenomenon is also closely connected to the occult symbolism. The people who have been in contact with aliens talk about characteristic emblems on their uniforms. One of them is the winged sun disc identified with the so called ‘Draconis’ (the reptilian race) and well-known in ancient Egypt and Babylon. The two-headed eagle, or Phoenix, worn by the ‘grey’ aliens from Lyra Constellation is the main symbol of the Scottish Freemasonry. After examining more than 150 texts received via channeling or direct contact with aliens, Dr. Mario Pazaglini proved that a great number of the strange hieroglyphs were identical with the magic symbols in the holy books of Tot-Hermes and Enoch. The thousands-year-old phenomenon ‘crop circles’ has recently appeared in all possible geometric shapes, some of which (spheres, pentagrams) can easily be recognized as occult or Masonic symbols.

The supposed aliens appear in a variety of anthropological or inhuman forms and different in size and design ‘spaceships’. Still in some cases they take a rather demonic shape. On 29 August 1967 in Quissac, France two kids saw a grounded sphere, 2 metres in diameter, and four ‘little devils’. One of them was bending searching for something on the surface while another one was holding a mirror-like object. The creatures were hovering around the sphere, then they dived into it and the ship rose smoothly with a hissing sound and a strong smell of brimstone. In the Bible brimstone is associated with hell.

The ufologist Guy Malone from Roswell, New Mexico pointed out another strong evidence of the real nature of ufonauts. If they were friendly heralds of knowledge and universal humanism, why would they terminate the contact and disappear with lightning speed at the mention of God’s name, as they did on a few occasions? Many participants in encounters of the third kind were shocked not only by the smell of brimstone, but also by the repulsive appearance of the extraterrestrials. The aliens possess the striking ability to change their appearance and size. Thomas Aquinas believed that demons could take human form and then throw it away, and W. Y. Evans – Wenz, the American explorer who established contact with a magic race from Albion a century ago, believed that they were able to appear in different forms. Further evidence of the spiritualistic nature of aliens is their ability to materialize, dematerialize and go through walls, which makes their aerospaceships unnecessary. The contacts with aliens generate a number of phenomena such as levitation, clairvoyance, good command of languages and supernatural physical power, which were classified as signs of demonic obsession during the Middle Ages. In his book Demonolatry, published in the sixteenth century, Nicolas Remy stated that ‘without using their tongues and palates, and without moving their throats, faces or lungs demons utter all possible words and idioms, and speak every language as naturally and fluently as if they were natives who never left the country.’

Another parallel can be drawn between the abduction and aggressive sexual behaviour of some of the ufonauts, and the ancient stories about lustful fauns and the night demonic seducers sucubus and incubus. In the documentary bestseller ‘Intruders’ the ufologist Budd Hopkins described the terror and pain of female victims of the genetic experiments of the ‘little greys’. But this is not the peak of their aggression and violence towards humans. Near Dulce, New Mexico, in the Jicarella Reservation, known as an Indian shaman centre, there is a secret underground complex of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) connected to genetic engineering and cloning experiments. Ex-employees and abducted citizens state that there they have seen representatives of different alien races and huge tanks full of blood and parts of human bodies. The aliens bathed in them in order to take in blood energy substances including the vital for them adrenalin, which can be found in great quantity in children’s organisms and is released just before the death of tortured or distressed people. Human and animal sacrifice was widely spread among the civilizations of Ancient Egypt, Babylon, Aztecs and Maya who communed with the ‘fallen angels’. In the Egyptian Book of the Dead there is a text dedicated to the dwellers of hell: "Behold ye then god this great slaughter, mighty of terror, he washeth in your blood, he batheth in your gore." Is it a coincidence that the black masses conducted in the name of Beelzebub for thousands of years are connected to violent sacrifice of newborn babies and small children, too? It is also known that for years aliens have abducted certain people to create, as they call it, the ‘perfect’ hybrid race and to establish a new world order. According to the apocryphal Book of Enoch and the Revelation of John the expelled legion of Satan had sexual intercourse with mortal women, resulting in indescribable calamities for mankind.

Nowadays more and more world-famous UFO researchers are reorienting from physical to parapsychological interpretation of the phenomenon. The French ufologist Jacques Vallee finds that ‘an impressive parallel can be made between UFO occupants and the popular conception of demons’. The author of ‘Operation Trojan Horse’ John Keel believes that UFO manifestations are almost a mirror image of the age-old demonological phenomenon. In the last decades we have witnessed that the pathological intervention of the phenomenon in human lives coincides not only with rapid development of communication technologies and genetic improvement, but also with the creation of psychotronic and mass destruction weapons. The knowledge of the world widens but hatred, terror and ideological globalism suppress the inherent virtues and the belief in God. Human cloning already shows the way to our physical immortality. But won’t our spiritual execution be a high price for this Faust contract with the powers of Evil.
