Thierry Poget was in Lausanne Thursday May 7, when he saw above his head a strange cloud formation and he decided to photograph it with his cellphone.

That was when he was shocked to discover an orange form located in the picture next to the cloud he had photographed.

"At first I did not see the orange [object] in the photograph," Thierry told 20 minutes online. "At 13:00 the light was strong and I could not see my phone screen," he added.

He decided to contact the airport in Lausanne. "The [?] said that a PC12 had taken off around 13:00 but after checking on the site Pilatus website on the internet, I think I can say that it takes a lot of imagination to identify it as beings a PC12 or anything else."

Thierry then decided to check the size of the craft: "I have resized the image without zoom effect and has integrated the landscape around it, to obtain the best possible objective measurements. And put them in relation to the Tooth of Jaman [landscape feature in photo below]. And the length of the device is 127 meters, while that of a jumbo jet Airbus A-type 380, 75 meters.

On contacting the airport in Lausanne we confirmed that an aircraft type PC12 had taken off that day at around 13 h. And that the form visible on the photo could be that of the aircraft. . The sun and shade below the device could explain this halo of light.

"This explanation does not suit me, plus I heard that the FPSL was testing UAVs [drones]," said Thierry.

The Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) indicated that to their knowledge, no test was currently being performed using a drone.

Then what was it? A UFO? A new military aircraft? A drone? A fly? Or something else?

Thierry était jeudi 7 mai dernier à Lausanne, quand il a vu au dessus de sa tête un nuage de forme étrange. Il a alors décidé de le photographier avec son téléphone portable.

C’est lorsqu’il a regardé comment était le cliché qu’il a eu un choc. Une forme orange se trouvait à côté du nuage qu’il venait de photographier.

«Au début, je ne pensais pas voir cette forme orange en faisant ce cliché», a avoué Thierry à 20 minutes online. «A 13 h la lumière était forte et je ne l’ai pas vue sur mon écran de téléphone. C’est quand j’ai contrôlé la photo que je l’ai remarquée».

L’homme a donc décidé de contacter l’aéroport de Lausanne. «La Blécherette m’a dit qu’un PC12 avait décollé aux environs de 13 h. Mais suite à ma vérification sur le site de Pilatus sur internet, je pense pouvoir dire qu’il faut plus d’imagination pour rapprocher mon cliché d’un PC12 que de… quelque chose d’autre».

Thierry a alors décidé de voir qu'elle taille avait l'appareil: «J’ai redimensionné l’image sans effet de zoom et y ait intégré le paysage autour, pour pouvoir obtenir les mesures les plus objectives possibles. Et les mettre en relation avec la Dent de Jaman. Et la longueur de l’appareil est de 127 mètres, alors que celle d’un gros porteur de type Airbus A 380, 75 mètres».

Contacté, l’aéroport de Lausanne nous a confirmé qu’un avion de type PC12 avait bien décollé ce jour là aux alentours de 13 h. Et que la forme visible sur la photo pourrait être celle de cet aéronef. Le soleil et l’ombre au-dessous d’appareil pourraient expliquer cet halo de lumière.

«Cette explication ne me convient pas, en plus, j’ai entendu que l’EPFL faisait des essais de drones», nous a dit Thierry.

Jointe, l’Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) nous fait savoir qu’à leur connaissance aucun test de drone n’est actuellement effectué.

Alors de quoi peut-il bien s’agir? Un OVNI? un nouvel avion militaire? un drone? une mouche? autre chose?
