Project UFO Piura is a group of fans who study everything related to the UFO phenomenon in Piura [Peru]. The '90s were the difficult years when Ursula, Claudia, Edgar Rafael and English professor, Josué Gonzáles, decided to investigate this phenomenon on their own account.
We started by reading everything available on these issues at that time. "I visited Ganymede, Magazine of the Unusual, read pamphlets and books of Mission Piura Branch (including our participation in some of its meetings as of the year 1989, following the awesome contact programmed for the press in Chilca, LIMA, PERU on March 26 that year), documentaries on VHS and Beta, newspapers, magazines, supplements, and in general whatever was within reach of our small budget.
Faced with so much information about how to contact extraterrestrial beings really we were discouraged of being able to continue. Being a vegetarian, yoga, spirituality, and leave our favorite routine, diet, music ... in short, that heavy, we thought we would be venturing into the these issues. Particularly, we began to think they might have other simpler ways by means of which many people could have access to these experiences.
Then we started to experiment with making changes in our own sociocultural and religious realities, as well as our physical state, academic instruction, behavior, consumption habits (no smoking, no alcohol, nothing dangerous - only meats that do not affect the health), and health in general, everything that we deemed worthy in order to raise the balance of common sense, discarding things that are harmful, trivial, unnecessary, superfluous in our lives, ultimately being left with substantial, permissible things of our society, the result was Project UFO Piura.
And until arrived the day: It was during the month July 28 and 29 in 1989, Professor Joshua Gonzales, (this writer) achieved a first sighting in an area of open field Castilla, Piura. This was the beginning of a series of meetings (during which we were adding new members, mainly friends of our environment like Walter Chuyes and Felix Chunga who, over time, would play an important role in the early experiences of the group) and camps that, during these almost 18 years, we have continued doing, sometimes for short and long periods.
At present, retaining that same enthusiasm and spirit of adventure, and in the middle of a time of rapid climate change, technological, social, political and economic changes, Project UFO has decided to publically invite for the first time groups of people related by some link between them (members of the same family, neighborhood, schools, workplaces, etc.). to participate in its camps OBSERVING UFOs, as impartial observers, without the need for pre-requisites or affiliations that could reduce the spontaneous character, cultural, educational and scientific content to the topic.
After more than 18 years observing the phenomenon, the members of Project UFO have verified that these mysterious events occur to people who have overcome their fear of the unknown and have a sincere desire to know other realities that could mean a new way of looking and to rethink their lives.
Also, during these years of intense and successful camp outs in places such as La Caleta "Casitas" in the Bay Sechura, a desert between Piura and Paita, Laguna Ñapique, 30km off the highway to Chulucanas, the Ruins of Narihualá and others, Project UFO have summoned the local news media on more than two occasions, leaving open the possibility for new invitations.
And indeed the local press has covered, albeit with some skepticism, our recent activities as a result of the video of our most recent camping, which clearly shows trends and glimpses of one of the extraterrestrial ships that have been with us for years in the desert and now, with the consent of "them", we are making public for the first time, thanks the fact that the technology now allows us.
In short, last Saturday April 19, 2008[?], Project UFO Piura was able to film all the occurences at one of our typical camps, and the video tells how these beings through confirmations, dreams and intuitions given us as to the exact hour in which the craft in all its glory, so we can say for sure that all this was nothing other than a SIGHTING PROGRAMMED WITH EXTRATERRESTRIAL SHIPS.
Interestingly, during the previous hours of that Saturday, and hours later that Sunday, a series of sightings occurred throughout all the rural and urban areas of Piura. In Sullana a hospital watchman with his cell phone picks up a light near the moon (check Piura Daily Digital in the Mail on Monday or following Tuesday), during the aerial festival of these days a small object appears next to a small airplane in an exhibition flight, residents of various areas (including where members of Project UFO live) confirmed the passage of strange lights that suddenly appeared and then vanished quickly.
Regional Channel 5, dedicated some time to us (which we recorded on VHS); ATV News spread the same in later days; Courier Journal (the most open to these issues) prepared a summary note of many cases Saturday May 3 and finally the newspaper daily El Tiempo, the most skeptical of the region.
