42 year old Patapios Palaiologos [Paleologou?] lives in the village of Karpoynari, near the isthmus of Corinth and has worked in Loutraki Casino for the past 13.5 years.
He told Expresso News that last Tuesday morning [Feb 10] while he and his 11 year old daughter were driving to school they saw in the sky a flying disk which disappeared without leaving behind any traces of smoke and without making any noise.
"The time was 8.01 in the morning and I was with my daughter in a car. It was a sunny day and the sky was spotless. Suddenly, I saw a huge object that hovered over a small hillside opposite the village where we live. It was something that I saw for the first time and I could not believe it. I said to my daughter, who looked terrified, to remain in the car and I got out in order to see better. I noticed that it was at a height of about one thousand meters above the ground, roughly as long as a house [300 sq.m.], having a round shape and there was around it a ring. It looked like the planet Saturn and its color was metallic silver."
According to Mr. Palaiologos, the flying object remained suspended for about ten seconds and immediately after that the "ring" began to vibrate at an incredibly fast pace. As he describes it: "All of a sudden it started to tremble very strongly and a few seconds later I saw a terribly intense light shining from the right side. Then, it disappeared! Really, it was incredible. Emotionally, I am confused. On the one hand I am glad both myself and my daughter witnessed it, but on the other hand I know that few will believe me."
Approximately thirty minutes after the incident, Mr. Palaiologos went to Loutraki Police and reported everything he saw. He tells us that "They asked me several items and wanted to know many details. I answered everything."
Eyewitnesses claimed that a similar incident was seen by Mrs Roula, neighbor and a relative of Mr. Palaiologos when a week before she saw a flying object in the sky over the same hillside.
"The time was 7.00 in the morning and ran to tell my spouse, who was in bed and didn't think it important. I have been puzzled ever sinbce as it's the first time I ever saw such a thing. I wish I knew what it was."
