FIVE PEOPLE WITNESS UFO'S OVER CZECH REPUBLIC

Mysterious lights have appeared twice in the sky above Chebem. The latest eyewitness reported their sighting.

"I returned home with my wife, and we were on the Hájském bridge. First it was two lights and then two more," said Pavel Beran of Chebu who saw it on Saturday February 14. The whole spectacle lasted seven minutes. The mysterious objects then disappeared towards the west.

"It was at 19.45 hours. The lights gave off a orange yellow glow, nothing was heard," said Beran.

At the same time a similar phenomenon was seen by Vaclav Tondl with his wife who were standing at the bus stop on Kasárním square in Cheb.

"My wife was the first to see something that flew over the city. Gradually there were five lights, which made a circle above the town. The gap between them was about 300 meters. Within three minutes the lights disappeared." Neither of the couple could hear any sound.

"It was 19.47 hours. Nothing like I have ever seen," said Tondl. The lights gave him the impression of a controlled object.

Another report of the observation of an unknown object took place on Tuesday, February 17th. "While watching my TV in the evening at 19.49 hours I heard a deep sound coming from outside, which was increasing over time and then decreased. It seemed very different from the noise of an aircraft. After a short but intensive search of the night sky I saw relatively low above the horizon four lights moving at high speed, somewhere west of Skalka and perhaps over Germany, " said Stanislav Strmen of Cheb. He even managed to take pictures of the mysterious lights.

"I could do only three frames. On the fourth there is nothing to see. At the time when I took the pictures I did not see any stars."

Strmen describe the circumstances under which the image was created. "That could be a real UFO but I'm not sure," stressed Strmen. The possibility that this could be, for example, a helicopter was carefully excluded.

The strange events are still a mystery. "No police helicopter was operating in Cheb at that time, said police spokesman Ladislav Böhm. Neither was there any emergency medical action at exactly the same time when the lights appeared.

"On Tuesday February 17 the helicopter transported a severely injured patient from Chebu to Pilsen. It was at 19.30 hours, " said a emergency services spokesman.

Staff of air traffic at the airport in Karlovy Vary could not verify the possibility that events were low-flying aircraft. Moreover, the aircraft would have remained too low on their radar and would probably not have been seen.

On Saturday evening the sky above the town was under clouds at a height of 600 meters.
