After closely studying this newly released NASA photograph of the Martian surface, Christian Macé, of France, discovered his second new anomaly.

It comes hot on the heels of a dolmen-like find he made early last month.

This time NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity had traversed southward toward Victoria Crater when it used its microscopic imager to obtain a mosic of pictures 6 centimeters (2.4 inches) square.

Writes Chrsitian:
"At down and on the left from this photo, there is a form like a BLACK ARROW! I have environed with black this strange form."

Could this have been caused by the Opportunity's rock abrasion tool? Is it an arrow left by an extinct Martian civilization? Perhaps it's not an arrow after all but the numeral '4', or even a little monkey man?

Whatever, do you think it a natural rather than anomlous feature of this rock?
