Our correspondent Christian Macé, of France, who on a number of occasions has successfuly filmed UFOs, now claims he may have discovered evidence of a remarkable dolmen-like structure on the surface of Mars.
On March 23 NASA issued a press release regarding a new find made using its Mars Exploration Rover Spirit.
The Spirit's wheels had churned up a section of bright soil a few days earlier near 'McCool Hill' and thought to be salts which may record the past presence of water on the planet.
Christian zoomed in on an odd-shaped anomaly, or rock, only to find that the structure bears a striking resemblance to giant prehistoric stone dolmens once constructed by various peoples throughout the ancient world.
FarShores presents the image [size reduced] here, accompanied by an enlargement of the stone structure and its earthbound equivalent. Certainly the similarities are evident but the distance this Martian outcrop is from the Spirit's camera cannot be that great. Hence, the Mars 'dolmen' is of comparitively miniscule size to the giant stones hauled into place here on earth so long ago.
