A Discussion With Farah Yurdozu

RNN is joined by Farah Yurdozu, Turkey's first female UFO researcher and author of several best-selling books. Farah is a columnist for the leading monthly publication UFO Magazine and a journalist / producer at The Jerry Pippin Radio Show.

RNN: Farah, thank you for participating in the Road to Roswell 2008 Series. For those who don't know you, please tell us about your background as an investigative writer.

FARAH: I started to UFO and paranormal research almost 25 years ago. In my native country Turkey I have four published books, two of them are about UFOs and the other two are paranormal related fictions. When I was living in Turkey I was also writing for the daily newspapers and monthly magazines on UFO, paranormal and spiritual topics. I did my own TV show and hosted on the camera for the national television network. And last year I published my two books in English for the American readers: “Confessions of a Turkish Ufologist” and “You Are Your Soulmate”. My two books in English are available on www.Lulu.com.

RNN: As I understand it, you became interested in the paranormal because of your family's experiences. Correct?

FARAH: Yes spiritual aspect was a family tradition in my mother’s side. As far as I know everything started in late 1890s. My great grand father was a French and Mathematics teacher at Istanbul University. One night he was alone at home. Just after he went to bed the bedroom door opened and two strange beings came inside. They were tall males, walking on their two feet. They had reptilian eye, their body was covered partly with hair and partly with brown-greenish color thick skin. One of the beings stayed at the foot part of the bed, the other got on the headboard side. They started to communicate with my great grand father by telepathy. Meanwhile a very strange energy filled up the room and it was so strong that the heavy iron bed started to shake. My great grand father was extremely scared, he started to pray to send them back. While he was praying and asking help from God, the two visitors started to leave the room. But before they go, they turned back, looked at him and said: “From you to 3 generations”. In that moment my great grand father didn't understand the meaning of this message. But after a while, his all five children, one of them is my grand mother, started to develop sudden psychic ability. They were two boys and three girls between 15 to 5 years old. From the oldest one to the youngest they were able to see ghosts, communicate with the spirits. In time boys became lawyers and girls decided to be teachers. They were never worked as professional psychics. But spiritualism and paranormal research was always an important part of my family members. They conducted spiritual channeling sessions and were active mediums. So they were the first generation of psychics. Later my aunt became a very good psychic and she had paranormal experiences. I am from the third generation. Since I was very little I had my own encounters and after that I decided to investigate the paranormal, spiritual and UFO world. I believe that those 2 visitors wanted to give a gift to our family. The gift was the psychic ability or maybe it was the ability to communicate with the other dimensions.

When my great grand father experienced the encounter with the Reptilian beings, nobody knew about the UFOs, Extra Terrestrial visitors or Reptilian Aliens. For my great grand father they were two demons as they looked very scary. I guess this happened in many ancient cultures too. Many societies in the past interpreted Reptilians as demons and Nordic Extraterrestrials as angels.

RNN: Can you tell us why Turkey reports so many paranormal, spiritual and UFOlogical encounters, experiences and phenomenon?

FARAH: When we go back to our first creation stories we see many ET visits. The first Turkish races started after the visit of the beings who came from the sky in the ball of lights. A Turkish tribe leader who is a real historical person called Oguz Kagan was visited by a woman who came from the sky. They fall in love each other. After this first close encounter Oguz Kagan was visited by a wolf which came from the sky as well. Oguz Kagan got married ( had a relationship ) with the woman who came from the sky and had 3 sons. They named them Sun, Moon and Star. This very early Turkish creation story has lots of paranormal and cosmic symbols. And his relationship with the ET woman reminds me the Brasilian Villas Boas case from 1950s. He was abducted by ETs and had a relationship with an ET woman. Also in modern abduction cases many abductees report that they see a wolf after the abduction. Since the beginning our nation and land was active with paranormal energy. And this is going on.

RNN: How old is Ufological history on Turkish land?

FARAH: The historical and archeological findings show that the first ET visits started at least 5000 years ago. And their existence became a part of the culture, society and mythological narrations.

RNN: What are some of the famous ancient ET encounter and abduction cases in Turkey?

FARAH: A very interesting close encounter-abduction case started in 1948, just after the Roswell case. On the central part of Turkey, Behcet Öcal who was 15 years old was visited by 3 Extra Terrestrial beings. In those days Behcet was a shepherd, he never went to school and he wasn't able to read and write. In the village he lives there was no power, no movies, no TV. He first saw a rocket looking object coming from the sky. The object landed, a door opened and two men and a woman came outside. According to Behcet they looked like each other very much. The only difference was that woman had long hair and the men were bald. They communicated with him by telepathy. They told him that they are coming from another world and they are not going to harm him. Behcet later described a tool that they were carrying on their neck. It was almost a palm size, with lots of buttons on a panel and was connected to their belt. This was the description of a man who even never saw an old fashioned telephone. And now when I look at his description it reminds me a modern BlackBerry. Why not?

Behcet's contact lasted during all his life until he died in late 1990s. But at the beginning he kept his contact as a secret. After the first visit he was able to communicate with them from a kind of screen which was opening inside of his home. He also had astral travels to their dimension. And Extra Terrestrial visitors helped him to draw a universe map. In the map the location of our solar system was shown as a tiny dot. Contactee Behcet Öcal only gave 2 press interviews during all his life. He never wanted to start a cult or to have followers. He was not able to write a book because he didn't know how to write. He never sold his story to the press. He was a very shy and modest man. So I can say that he was a real contactee.

RNN: What about famous modern cases there?

FARAH: The most important UFO flap happened in 1980s in the Cappadocia area where we have the ancient underground cities. During weeks and months UFOs visited the area and some landing cases were reported. Later in 2000s were very active with UFO sightings. From many cities of Turkey people reported UFO cases. But one of the most important one, was a dog fight between a Turkish military jet and a UFO. These cases were always on Turkish press and TV news. And also last year in 2007 we had various UFO sightings in many different places of Turkey. Also, whenever there is an important political change or a natural disaster, UFO sightings increase in Turkey. As if the “watchers” still keep watching us.

RNN: Are there parts of Turkey that are most active with ET and UFO phenomenon?

FARAH: Yes especially the central part of Turkey which is called Cappadocia. In fact there is a triangular ley line which starts from Troya, passes over Cappadocia, and the other leg of the triangle starts from the west coast of the country reaches to the east where there is another important cosmic center Mount Nemrud ( Nimrod ). We see that most of the UFO cases are reported over these ley lines. If we are talking about a Stargate yes, Cappadocia, Troya and Mount Nemrud are the possible Stargate openings.

RNN: What is the Turkish government's position on UFOs?

FARAH: We definitely don't have a cover-up or an oppression about UFO reality in Turkey.

RNN: What is the Turkish media's approach to UFO cases?

FARAH: I believe that Turkish media is the most supportive one all over the world in UFO / paranormal cases. After a UFO sighting you can be sure that you'll see the related news or the pictures on the front pages of the mainstream newspapers or on the prime time news of national TV stations. UFOs are a reality for us. And Turkish media is extremely open minded and supportive on this topic.

RNN: Tell us about your UFO work and experiences in the USA and your TV show at TLC.

FARAH: In United States I have been very active both in UFO and paranormal research. Two years ago I was in TLC's paranormal reality series “Dead Tenants” as a psychic medium. We worked as a team of mediums, paranormal and historical researchers as the members of The Preternatural Research Society. We worked with real families at real ghost haunted houses. Our goal was to detect the ghost haunting and we did. We managed to video tape the ghost activity on the camera. But it was more than the ghosts. During the investigations I noticed that at least with 3 cases Alien Abduction and Ghost haunting was together. In 3 families they were experiencing the ghost attacks and Alien abduction. But they were not aware of the alien abductions and they didn't know anything about it. When I mentioned the ET possibility they felt very uncomfortable and they didn't want to accept the ET reality. So generally people prefer the ghosts to ETs for some reason.

RNN: You are a writer for UFO Magazine. What is your latest project?

FARAH: Yes I am writing a monthly column for UFO Magazine. I am very happy to be a part of this leading magazine in UFO world. I also finished a new book and right now I am proofreading the text.

RNN: Following Vatican chief astronomer Father Jose Gabriel Funes interview saying it's okay for Catholics to believe in Aliens, Tom Horn wrote an article called Is the Vatican easing humanity toward alien disclosure? In it he pointed out how Funes was just the latest in a string of Vatican authorities including Guy Consolmagno, Monsignor Corrado Balducci, the now deceased Father Malachi Martin and others who in recent history provided carefully crafted language that almost seems to be designed to help church faithful face the possibility of ET contact. Consolmagno went so far as to the say the chances of finding ET are now better than not. Do you think the Vatican knows about or has ET evidence of some kind?

FARAH: I think that the ET reality and ET existence on the world is much more bigger than we think. But if I was able to interview an Extra Terrestrial being, I would ask him / her what do they think about Vatican's latest declaration? I mean Vatican says that it is ok to believe ETs, does this make happy ET races?

RNN: In the several interviews we have done with Jesse Marcel Jr. on radio and in news print, we asked him a question that often comes up about UFOs and religion. Jesse is a devout Catholic and like some of the high profile church astronomers that have been in the news recently talking about the possibility of intelligent alien life, he agrees that contact with extraterrestrials or some other proof of their existence is not in conflict with church's teachings. Have you given any thought to this question concerning the spiritual or psychological ramifications of what Roswell may represent with regard to people's religious ideas?

FARAH: I believe that God created the cosmos including Extra Terrestrials, human race and paranormal beings that we are not aware of. All of us are coming from the same source. Maybe being open minded about UFOs, ETs, Extra Terrestrial and Ultra Terrestrial beings and beyond, will help us to understand better the meaning and the power of God. Yes, all the reality about UFOs can be a good education for us to learn more about the same creation source which is God.

RNN: What do you make of the latest Indiana Jones film and its ties to Roswell.

FARAH: Well the movie overall was a frustration for me. I believe that the concept of Extra Terrestrial reality was used very superficially in the movie. Maybe because of the editing there were a couple of things that it didn’t make sense. This time Indiana Jones didn't tell us anything new that we don't know. Yes it was a confirmation of something that everybody knows, that's all. And I hate to say this but that skull looked terribly plastic to me.

RNN: David Flynn is one of our most brilliant authors. He will presenting at Roswell this year. His lecture will be based on an amazing article he wrote for Raiders News Network and which we also got published in UFO Magazine, the magazine you write for. The name of the article was An Occult Translation of the Roswell Event and the Year 2012. I don't know if you read it, but he tied the Mountain of Horeb which he calls a place where ET descended once before (the legend of the gods / Watchers), the measurements 33.33 and 2012, directly with the crash site of Roswell. His bottom line is that the Roswell crash site is, in his mind, an intelligent marker pointing to the year 2012 and the return of the gods / Watchers / aliens. Have you heard about this, and if not, do you think there could have been some mystical value to the actual location of the Roswell UFO crash site?

FARAH: Yes I know David Flynn's work and read his article. The article is based on his amazing study of the occult tradition and the mathematical links. David Flynn's Roswell interpretation is very interesting. He sees the UFO crash as a “sacrifice”. As we know many ancient civilizations were sacrificing animals and humans to their Gods. When we say “gods” we must think about the secret power behind the god identity. And I believe that the same occult tradition is still going on under different names and excuses. Roswell is definitely a historical turning point for the human-ET contact. And if we accept the 1947 Roswell crash as the beginning of modern Ufology it is also possible to think that Roswell is a marker point for the ETs who are coming back. But as always I have another question in my mind; what is the meaning of Roswell UFO crash for the Extra Terrestrials who lost their friends on earth? If they are not robots but intelligent biological beings, I am sure Roswell crash is an extremely sad incident in their history.

RNN: How did you become involved with the Jerry Pippin radio show and what is your responsibility there?

FARAH: I contacted Jerry Pippin radio in 2004 and they invited me to be a part of their team. Since then I am a program producer, I conduct interviews and we make shows. In 2005 Jerry Pippin, Roberta Scott and I went together to International UFO Congress, Nevada. It was my first time in Nevada desert. One night we went to interview a gentleman in his home in a very far place. The night was beautiful and clear with millions of stars. I was amazed. Roberta and I were waiting for Jerry to finish the interview. I wanted to go outside and take some fresh air. They told me to be careful with wolves and coyotes. I said: “What wolves, what coyotes? Are there wild animals here?”. Yes there were and I had no idea. I never saw a wolf or a coyote in my life except the TV documentaries. I was in panic and shaking with a flash light in my hand trying to scare the possible wild creatures while I was running with all my strength to the car. I spent the rest of the night in the car and even couldnt dare to open the windows. Since then that night it is a joke between me, Roberta and Jerry.

RNN: On another note. Our CEO Tom Horn will be at the Burlington Vortex Conference in October and I see that Stan Friedman, yourself and Jerry Pippin will also be there. Will you or Jerry be doing any interviews or broadcasting from there?

FARAH: Yes we will do interviews and shows in Burlington Vortex Conference. I am looking forward the conference as this will be my first time in Wisconsin. No more coyotes please.

RNN: Ha! Will you be in Roswell this year too? If so, will you be giving a lecture?

FARAH: Yes this is my second year in Roswell. Last year on 60th anniversary of the case I was a speaker too. And I am invited again this year. I am very happy to be back there as Roswell is one of my very favorite places. I love there.
