Hi,
My name is Kelly and I live here in Mt.Pleasant, Michigan. It was a very hot night between the hours of 11pm-2am which I recall happened over the weekend before my boyfriend came home and also saw this incident, along with my cousin Gilbert. I was pregnant at the time it took place in June or July of 1998.
That night I felt very ill so I went out back of my porch at my trailer on R**** Road, close to L*****s Road to catch some air. As I was standing out back I noticed a red round object just above the treeline, moving back and forth in slow motion. When this object would move from side to side, it appeared to grow in size and move back to the other side and do the same thing over and over repeatedly. I figured it was a plane and maybe there was a small airport over the next road but then it dawned on me our airport is across in the other direction, north, close to US 27.
Finally, two nights later I told my boyfriend Tony I saw something strange out back and it will be there again at this time. Sure enough that red round object was there doing the same thing and we argued what it was. I told him it had to be a plane but he assured me no plane can do such a thing and besides, it was silent! I never believed in UFO's until I saw this glowing red round object, but I honestly believe now. As Tony and I watched the round object it went down in the woods and all at once a bright white light shot across the back in the woods, so fast I thought I imagined it but it was real. I never went in the woods where it was in order to investigate.
I later told my landlord who I was renting the lot from, and who also owns the land, about this incident. She reported to me of having seen a metallic object, which someone told her was a weather balloon! I'm very skeptical that there may be something going on in those deep woods and no one else ever came forward to confirm what I saw. I believe we three are the only ones who saw this glowing red object that night, so if you can help me to verify this mysterious object that has stuck in my mind ever since 1998, I would appreciate it. By the way, the following day a Black Helicopter was scanning the area in circles where I lived and flying low at the perimeter.
