When Tabitha Bingham first caught sight of 'undulating sparkles of light in the sky', she was amazed, as there were thousands of them.
Since then she has been seeing and recording undulating shards of light quite regularly; although not everyone she knows shares such a gift.
It was while Tabitha was researching this little known and observed anomaly that her attention was drawn to the phenomenon of orbs.
"Well, that just clicked with me as definitely being related and that very night is when I went out to shoot and actually catch my first orb [see left]. Since then I have been concentrating on them almost solely," she says.
Just what are orbs? Well, that remains something of a mystery, although many people claim to see and film them.
"Some say ghosts. Some say faeries. Some say angels. Some say UFO's," comments Tabitha. "Personally I am leaning towards the theory of plasma based entities. The explanations run the gammut as these things are so unlike anything we as a species have ever seen or documented before."
In just a few months of active research, Tabitha has managed to amass over 200 pictures of orbs and all taken by herself.
"As for my luck with orbs, well, I really can't explain it. But I have had many haunting experiences over my life," she revealed in correspondence. "And after going over some old pictures I have discovered many orbs, most of them being concentrated on me."
Tabitha's recent work is available to view on her own website.
"For those of you who are still saying it's just dust or something to that effect, I ask you to closely study the collages," she says.
"You will find that there are distinct patterns. Mostly spirals and concentric circles but also more unusual patterns emerge."
