Irish Miracle Cures Follow Tour Of Holy Relics[Original headline: THERESE 'CURED' 60 ILL PEOPLE]
An Irish author has received more than 60 letters from sick people who claim they have been healed by St Therese's relics.
Don Mullan said he heard many stories from physical, mental and emotionally disabled people who say they were cured by the holy relic on its recent Irish tour.
More than three million people saw the relics when they toured Ireland earlier this year, visiting cathedrals, convents and monasteries.
Mr Mullan, who is writing a book on the mystery cures, said people have amazing tales to tell.
He said: "I have heard many stories of miraculous healing and visions from all over Ireland."
Mr Mullan heard from one man whose wife suffered from lung and liver cancer when he was called to the hospital expecting bad news.
"When the man was approaching the hospital his phone rang and it was his wife.
"She told him the disease was gone.
"The doctor confirmed the cancer had vanished and medical staff couldn't explain it."
Mr Mullan said the sick woman had a statue of St Therese next to her bed and believed the St Therese was responsible for her recovery.
Mr Mullan has urged other people with similar stories about St Therese to contact him.
The book will be out by Christmas and is called A Gift of Roses.
