Here's a report of a recent encounter with the unknown from FarShores reader Michelle Pimenta, of South Africa. Michelle is desperately seeking an explanation for her "strange encounter", and wonders whether the ghost she and others saw has been reported before in this same area.
"A group of us saw a ghost on a freeway outside Garbouw, near Cape Town, South Africa. It was in the middle of nowhere this past Sunday
morning [Aug.11] at around 1:30AM.
"We were driving back to Cape Town and at that time of
the morning the road was very quiet. We had our brights on and could see
ahead very clearly, when
all of a sudden (nothing appeared ahead and we could
see for about 40m) from
about 15 meters a man appeared in a blue track suit
with his hood over his
head and hands in his jacket, walking on the line
separating the two lanes
looking down at the road.
"We swerved our car to miss
the person. As we
passed and looked back, nothing was there. He also had
no face. His figure
was real, but due to his very sudden appearance in
front of us and
dissappearance, we are all convinced he was a ghost. He
also did not flinch
as our car just missed him by a fraction.
"We have never experienced such an encounter and would
appreciate any info."
