A year after the bewitched house of Llanquihue became well-known in all the mass media, there are still no answers to the causes of the paranormal phenomena that torment the Vera Zúñiga family.

Family members all speak of things that fly through the air, that catch fire and are broken, in an existence that's much like a state of war. Living in the Vera Zúñiga house has, during this past three years, been like a battlefield between the forces of good and evil.

Everything began in 2002 when holes suddenly appeared and strange noises were heard in the wall of the kitchen of the house, located in 120 Ramón Carnicer Street. Teresa Zúñiga initially thought the problem lay with rodents.

"At first we thought that the noises that we felt between the walls were mice, it is most logical, nobody thinks of spirits or something paranormal until they see really strange things. We replaced the wood wall with zinc and thought that that would solve the problem, but it didn't. The (noises) continued and every time they were getting stronger", said Zúñiga.

Phenomena
The owner of house, José Vera, said that initially he he did not believe what was told him. "One day while we had lunch, my wife said to me that she thought that a malignant presence lived in the house. Just then, in front of my eyes, a jar of coffee crosses from some furniture that was three meters in front of me and it crashes into the wall. Drops of blood that fell from nowhere appeared on the floor of the kitchen, the calendars caught fire spontaneaously, the armchairs moved and the mattresses of the beds displayed cuts".

"All my family was terrified, my wife no longer wanted to stay and she left it empty whenever she left for work because she feared that this spirit would attack something/someone. After that we were so desperate that we called on Alejandro Ayún to bless the house. He did but at first not even he could enter since it was considered so loaded with diabolic spirits", recalls José.

Those times they recall with pain, until on the point of tears, since it has taken five months before tranquillity returned - according to José Vera.

"The only way to expel this demonic presence was to pray, to pray and to pray.

"It was difficult, since my family was not very attached to the Church nor had we much faith in God. We had tried to look for support in many parts, but what supported us more was the Baptist Church of Llanquihue. In the beginning when I began to read the Bible in the house, the walls moved and things fell. This demon did not want the spiritual things that arrived in the house ".

The pastor of the Baptist Church, Juan Aroca, said that she was witness to very strange things in the house.

"This family was had by a demonic spirit who tormented them, confusing them and terrifying them. We as a Church, we prepared ourselves for one week in order to expel in one night this demon using prayer. It was a difficult and cansadora[?] task, but when faith exists can win", asserted the pastor.

Misterio de la casa embrujada sigue sin explicación

Durante las noches esta supuesta presencia dejaba marcas de cortes en la cama del matrimonio Vera Zúñiga.

Un año después de que la casa embrujada de Llanquihue se hizo conocida en todos los medios de comunicación, aún no hay respuestas sobre las causas de los fenómenos paranormales que atormentan a la familia Vera Zúñiga.

Si a una persona le hablan de cosas que vuelan, se incendian y se rompen, lo más probable es que esta se imagine un estado en guerra. El living de la casa de los Vera Zúñiga fue durante tres años un campo de batalla entre las fuerzas del bien y un espíritu maligno. Todo comenzó en el año 2002 cuando aparecieron agujeros y extraños ruidos en la pared de la cocina de la vivienda ubicada en la calle Ramón Carnicer número 120, que, la dueña de casa Teresa Zúñiga, interpretó como roedores.

"En un primer momento pensamos que los ruidos que sentíamos entre las paredes eran ratones, es lo más lógico, nadie piensa que son espíritus o algo paranormal hasta que ve cosas realmente extrañas. Mandamos a reparar toda la pared de madera y la cambiamos por zinc. Pensamos que eso solucionaría el problema, pero no fue así. Esto continuó y cada vez fue más fuerte", dijo Zúñiga.

Fenómenos
El dueño de casa, José Vera quien vive junto a su esposa y una nieta, relató que en un primer momento no creía en lo que su mujer le contaba. "Un día mientras almorzábamos, mi mujer me contó que creía que una presencia maligna habitaba en la casa, yo no le creí. Justo en ese momento, frente a mis ojos, un tarro de café cruza desde un mueble que se encontraba a tres metros de mí y se estrella en la pared. Eso sólo fue el principio. Gotas de sangre que caían desde el cielo raso aparecieron en el piso de la cocina, los calendarios se incendiaban de forma espontánea, los sillones se movían y los colchones de las camas presentaron cortes".

"Toda mi familia estaba aterrada, mi señora ya no quería que la deje sola cuando salía a trabajar porque temía que este espíritu la atacara. Luego de eso estuvimos tan desesperados que llamamos a Alejandro Ayún para que hiciera un tratamiento a la casa. Lo hizo pero en un principio ni siquiera pudo entrar ya que consideraba que estaba cargada de espíritus diabólicos", recuerda José Vera.

Esos tiempos los rememoran con dolor, hasta el punto de las lágrimas, ya que llevan cinco meses de tranquilidad lograda -según José Vera- por su acercamiento a Dios. "La única manera de expulsar a esta presencia demoníaca fue orar, orar y orar.

Fue difícil, ya que mi familia no era muy apegada a la Iglesia ni teníamos mucha fe en Dios. Habíamos intentado buscar apoyo en muchas partes, pero quienes más nos apoyaron fue la Iglesia Bautista de Llanquihue. Al principio cuando yo comenzaba a leer la Biblia en la casa, las paredes se movían y las cosas de caían. Este demonio no quería que lo espiritual llegara a casa".

El pastor de la Iglesia Bautista, Juan Aroca, dijo que fue testigo de cosas muy extrañas en esa casa. "Esta familia estuvo poseída por un espíritu demoníaco que los atormentaba, confundiéndolos y aterrándolos. Nosotros como Iglesia nos preparamos por una semana para expulsar en una noche de oraciones a este demonio, fue una tarea difícil y cansadora, pero cuando existe fe se puede vencer el mal", aseveró el pastor.
