Port Elizabeth, SOUTH AFRICA - Big Brother series producers have confirmed to Lara’s father rumours that angel-like beings "surrounded" Lara during her most vulnerable moment.

Michael Plumstead said a viewer sent an e-mail message to Big Brother producers after seeing two "beings" surrounding Lara in her room on Sunday between 9.30pm and 9.45pm.

"The woman said the two beings, a middle-aged man and woman with shoulder-length hair, were around Lara’s head.

"The producers checked the video recordings and confirmed the incident. My first impulse had been that it must have been a reflection on the glass in front of the camera. However, the producers said the images were recorded by an infra-red camera in the room itself," Plumstead said.

Although Plumstead has not seen the video images himself, he believes it could have been guardian angels, probably even his own father who died a while ago.

He added that his family grew up with the idea of guardian angels and fairies and they are aware of these presences in their lives.

"I believe that angels surround us constantly, and they affirm their physical presence more strongly when somebody undergoes emotional strain.

"The stress Lara experienced on Sunday following her nomination was the worst stress she has had to sustain in her entire life," Plumstead said.

"The people who saw the images said the presence of the beings appeared to be sympathetic and comforting, and they seemed to be part of her," he noted.

An informed source confirmed that guardian angels are often somebody who had been close to you prior to their death and they protect you during emotional trauma.

The producers reportedly told Plumstead that they would put the video images up on the Internet.
