Most of us who go to church, go to pray to God. But one group says they now "see" Jesus in their church and he only recently showed up there.
Parishioners at the Church of The Divine Spirit say from one day to the next a vision of Jesus appeared at the altar and they believe it's all sign.
"It's there, we can see it. We don't know what it means, but we see it," explained Archbishop Tom Andrews. Now its there, before it wasn't.
Simple as that. The image appeared on his alter, he said, literally from one day to the next.
"We were talking about closing the church here, because George, who owns the church, was leaving for Mexico," Andrews said. It was during that service that Andrews said a petitioner who regularly attends started getting a bit antsy. During communion, he almost couldn't keep himself still.
"He comes up and says I've got to talk to you, I've got to talk to you," Andrews said.
After mass, he pointed out the face of Jesus Christ. Andrews insists there was nothing there before.
For the parishioners of the church, there's only one explanation.
"I think it's a sign not to close down the church," Andrews said, "an affirmation of what we're teaching and what we're preaching."
