| A Plethora Of Orbs - Or Dust?
Here's another image to ponder on and was sent in by Marcus Cowley of England.
He says, "It was taken by a friend of mine [John Mapp], with the very same camera that I used for the couple of shots I sent you, not just the same type, exactly the same
camera - a mutual friend sold it on to him and then he took this photograph on holiday in Devon, England. I can't count the number of 'orbs' suffice to say it's got to be in the hundreds".

Quite some time ago and while still owning the camera, Marcus had sent me several pictures apparently containing orbs that he had photographed in his wood shed. I think we both agreed at the time that the flash had highlighted suspended dust particles. But try as he might, Marcus was never able to repeat the incident.
It is clear from viewing other 'orb' photo's accompanying the stories below that we are dealing with two differing types of phenomenon. One appears essentially reflective [as demonstrated with multiple examples captured in the above image]. Orbs such as these can be explained by the existence of atmospheric dust in close proximity to a camera lens. Of greater interest and more puzzling is the other recorded manifestation, consisting of an opaque milky-white 'orb' often filmed with an accompanying trail of similar color and composition.
Are the balls of light that appear consistently in pictures like the above really orbs? Have you photographed similar anomalies and would like to share those images with FarShores readers? Do orbs really exist, or are the simplest explanations the most likely - such as reflections and refractions caused by a bright light source, or illumination of airborne dust particles? In some instances, could orbs even represent a form of previously unknown intelligence? Perhaps the essence, or soul, of a departed one? If you have your own pictures, theory or idea.....
