Noting that the Star and Cross are frequent
Atlantean motifs, I decided to look into some of the designs. Yet,
as there are so many variations, I’ve had to be very selective.
Images 1-6, 9 and 13 and the Tablet come from Churchward’s
The Sacred Symbols of Mu ; 7 from Sitchin’s Twelfth Planet; and
12 Bojan P.
1 - The Original/Plain Cross, known as the Greek Cross, encircled as the Cross of
Atlantis/Wheel Cross/Celtic Cross, with the Four Pillars. The Cross [Four
Primary/Creative Forces] and double ring [as The Deity] make up the Full Godhead.
2 - The U-luumil Cross [‘Land
of’/’Empire of’] with the double ring as the Sun, and the Cardinal
Points or Four Pillars. The emblem means ‘Empire of the Sun’.
This cross overlaid with the Plain Cross, within a double
ring, created a symbol called KIN, “the Sun as the Celestial Orb”
{Churchward]. The double cross is known as a Central American
Cross, as, according to Pauline Zelintsky, President of Advanced
Digital Communications, it can be found “in Cuban caves...not only
in the south, but in the north”. In May 2001 Zelintsky
announced that a “possible megalithic site half a
mile down” had
been found off western Cuba. It includes Mayan pyramid like
structures. Some stones bear this cross, others, strangely,
the Assyrian Solar Cross [8]. [For more on the 2001
discoveries see Chapter Thirteen].
3-The Looped Cross. Churchward’s book includes a variant cross with enlarged
‘loops’, like ‘petals’, adorned by symbols with different meanings/connotations. The
cross pictured, said Churchward, was “a favourite symbol of the Uighurs and revered
by the Chinese today”. Also found in Polynesia. A variation of the Looped Cross is
the Assyrian Solar Cross [8}.
4 - The square Earth symbol [here tilted], with the
Cardinal Points or Four Pillars.
5 - The Pillar Cross.
The main part could either symbolise the Full Godhead or
Empire of the Sun, depending on the meaning of the double ring. The
name of the emblem derives, says Churchward, from two ancient
pillars flanking the entrance to an ancient temple [above right].
The left one was rectangular, and represented ‘strength’, the
right one, meaning ‘established’, was cylindrical. The cross
means “the Pillars have been established in strength” [Churchward].
I wonder if they may’ve been the pair in the portico of Turlin’s
Atlantean Temple [Chapter Two]. If so, then Churchward’s
belief the ancient columns formed the ‘Porch’ of the Temple of
Poseidon could mean Turlin’s building is the one Plato mentioned.
Turlin’s temple resembles the Device Temple. The squared
spiral [Mu-An ‘H’] on Churchward’s ‘Porch’ represented the Sacred
Four [see Chapters Three and Eight]. Piecing these clues
together, does his mean the Device Temple was Plato’s Temple of
Poseidon? Minus the pillars, the cross becomes a plan view of
the Psidonian Council Chamber and its platform [Chapter Thirteen].
6 - The Eight-Rayed Sun, which Churchward said
symbolised “The Great Ruler - The Empire of the Sun”. A
variation is 7, The Star or Royal Escutcheon of Lemuria.
9 - The Eight Roads to Heaven, which, on
Lemuria, was “not an actual conception; it was a symbolic teaching,
religious in character” [Churchward].
10 - Babylonian
‘star’ symbol [c.2400 BC]. Variation on the earlier Sumerian
DINGIR and Akkadian ILU, basically an asterisk.
11- The ‘Grace’ or ‘Web’ appears in Terry Goodkind’s Debt of Bones, and represents
life’s ‘passage’ from birth to the afterlife in the ‘light’ or ‘grace’ of the Creator God.
It was set out in brass on a floor in the Castle of Aydindril. Kathy says the
Eight-Pointed Star was the “Sumerian symbol for the Creator God”. About the Grace
Goodkind wrote:-
“The outer circle represented the beginnings of infinity of the spirit world out
beyond. The square represented the boundary separating the spirit world - the
underworld, the world of the dead - from the inner circle which represented the limits
of the world of life. In the centre...was the star, representing the Light - the Creator”.
The Grace is a composite of emblems in their own right. Remove the Star and
Square, and you’re left with the Double Wheel, the spokes of which, alone, form the
DINGIR/ILU [10]. This is a variation of the Eight Roads [9]. The double ring is the
‘dual aspect’ of The Deity [Inner Circle = Earth; Outer Circle = Cosmos].
12 - The Double/Twin Star of
Lemuria, aka the Star of Macedonia. Kathyfound this symbol
carved on rock [petroglyphs] at Machu Picchu and Nazca in Peru.
She says it “indicated the passage between worlds”. It
was inlaid in the floor of the Device Temple Observatory [Chapter
Eight] and the Psidonian Council Chamber [Chapter Thirteen]. The
“passage” is an ‘interdimensional portal’. Interestingly, this
star features on the C.I.A. badge.
Kathy told me
that, above Chilca, Peru [185 miles north-west of Nazca], is a
mountain marked with two Seven Pointed Stars, indicating a ‘vortex’,
which even drew NASA’s attention! [The area is renowned for
the healing properties of the ‘Miracle Mud’ in the village’s
lagoons, which locals believe derives from intense UFO activity off
Lapa Lapa Beach. To the north lies Pachacamac, “the only known
“oracle” in the Americas” and a millennia old “place of
pilgrimage”.]
I’ve noted that of the national flags, the
Seven Pointed Star only features on Australia’s. [The flag of
Malaysia has a Fourteen Pointed Star [two times seven.]
Possible meanings for the Seven Pointed Star are “the Seven
Great Commands of the Creator” [Churchward], executed by the Sacred
Four, or the Seven Sacred Cities of Lemuria, which, at its height,
covered most of the Pacific.
13 - A fan design
in Churchward’s book, from the Gilbert Islands. The design
reminds me of the facets of the Sun Crystal surmounting the
Temple of Sol-An [Chapter Nine].
