Symbolism of the Device
CHAPTER THREE
Device Dream and Genii

"... through the portals and into the very centre of my temple, where there is a large diamond."
Barbara Hand Clow, Signet of Atlantis
There were two rings, possibly metal, linked by tubes at positions relative to the Cardinal Points [N, S, E and W]. The outer ring joined four obelisks and was inside the square platform the Device stood on. Thus, from above, the Device resembled an Wheel Cross, known as the Cross of Atlantis, as it represented the canals and circular zones of Plato’s Royal City. The obelisks, one at each corner, encased a two-tiered metal column, the upper part an Ankh [Life; aka Crux Ansata], the lower a Djed [Endurance]. The loop of the ankh held a crystal [see Papyrus of Ani in Chapter One]. The inner ring held a similar, but larger, crystal housed in a Giza-type pyramid, though smaller in scale. There may’ve been a rod forming a connection between crystal and capstone as in Ray Brown’s pyramid.
Like that structure, the Device pyramid also had a cuboidal chamber below it. In the centre of the Device chamber was a glass cylinder in a rigid metal cage. This was the ‘core’, pulsating with a blue-white light and low throbbing sound, intensifying as power increased. Ari Marshall’s pyramid at Cay Sal [Chapter Two] emitted similar ‘pulses’. To siphon of ‘excess’ energy a beam was shot upwards from the capstone.
One thing to note about the pyramid and obelisks surmounting the Device Temple is this. Their original location was at ground level a short distance in front of the Temple, enclosed by a high wall with a pyloned gateway (the Great Gate) similar to those fronting Egyptian temples [Chapter Ten]. The Great Gate faced the Temple to which it was linked by an avenue of stone sphynxes. At this time the Temple was a ‘repository’ for the Hall of Records [Chapter Two]. When the pyramid and obelisks were relocated, the Great Gate and enclosure where dismantled.
In Decipher [2001] Stel Pavlou describes the centre of the Royal City as being “a structure not unlike the Great Pyramid” supported by “pylons the size of Liberty” [about 200 ft high]. Around the pyramid is a circle of seven much taller obelisks - “Imagine the Empire State Building...had six counterparts”. All the strutures are crystal. Pavlou evokes Revelations imagery - the pyramid being the Throne of God; the obelisks the “seven lamps burning” in front of it; and the pylons statues of the “four living creatures studded with eyes” round it. These are the Lion, Ox, Man and Eagle, seen by Ezekiel in his ‘visions’, as well as being the Evangelists’ emblems
In Pratchett’s Interesting Times has the wizard Rincewind stumbles into a cavern filled with a “blue-white glow” and a “steady humming”. From the roof “lightning globes” were suspended on chains -
“Each one was the size of a man, and lightning crackled and sizzled inside, stabbing at the glass, seeking a way out.”
Reading James Churchward’s The Sacred Symbols of Mu [1960] further confirmed that such glyphs ‘encode’ the knowledge and technology of our ‘ancient’ ancestors. To ‘unlock’ their ‘secrets’ we need the right ‘keys’. This is where, for me, writers like Churchward have proved invaluable. With the aid of his book, in conjunction with the above passage and images derived from it, I’ve tried to ‘deconstruct’ the Device, to discover its meaning.
When taken as a whole, it seems, the Device was a ‘microcosm’ of the Universe as understood by the Poseidians. It not only created, but also represented, a Heaven/Earth Connection. The ‘Vortex’ it produced was both a ‘Time Gate’ and an ‘Interdimensional Portal’. The pyramid [triangle as The Deity] and the obelisks [Four Great Pillars or Four Primary Forces] together made up the Full Godhead, represented by five dots [see top and Chapter Four, Image B]. Or as a Wheel Cross [the astronomical symbol for Earth]. Yet, if the pyramid emblemised the Heavens, then the placing of the crystal [and double ring] within it represented the Deity or the Sun in the Heavens. [The Solar-Eye Pyramid is a variant.] The chamber [square] below the pyramid was the Earth under the Heavens. The Four Great Pillars, in this context, became the Four Corners or Cardinal Points.
According to Churchward, about 6000 or 7000 years ago each Pillar was given a Keeper or Genius, known collectively as the Sacred Four or Four Archangels. In Revelations St John the Divine speaks of “four angels standing at the four corners of the earth”. They were, said Churchward, “the First Known commands or executors of the commands of the Creator”. As the Four Great Builders they “evolved law andorder” from the primeval chaos, then “created the bodies of the Universe and all therein”. The Revelations angels are the “four great archangels” of the Book of Enoch - Uriel, Michael, Raphael and Gabriel. In the Koran, as guardians of Allah’s throne, they are called Azrael, Mikal, Israfel and Jibril. They could’ve been the Cardinal Point Archangels.
As one of their symbols is the spiral [see top], I wonder whether The Four I mention in Chapters Eight and Fourteen, who had this symbol in hieroglyphic versions of their names, were the same as the Archangels. And were they represented by the four ‘angels’ of the Council Chamber fountain [Chapter Thirteen]?
