Pictorial Evidence for DNA Manipulation?
By JJ

In Do Pictures Speak Louder...? I wrote about the DNA double helix, the ‘very building blocks’ of everyone on Earth. I wondered whether the ‘leap forward’ in human intellect X thousand years ago was an evolutionary occurrence, or if we had a ‘push’. Anthropologists have been puzzling over [and haven’t yet resolved] why our ancestors went from moving around on all fours like other primates and walked on two. There are 3 possibilities: 1) it was a practical development for being a Neolithic hunter/gather [esp. when going after a mammoth], 2) we saw creatures walking upright and thought it was a good idea [i.e., emulated them, then chased said mammoth], or 3) [mammoth aside]... .

I mentioned the strange winged apkallu [‘sages’ or ‘wise ones’; aka genie] flanking the Sacred Tree/Tree of Life depicted in Assyrian, Babylonian and Sumerian palace reliefs. Dr Timothy Potts and our friend Dr G. Contenau [recall his strange statuette in Go Figure This One! ?] said that they were symbolic of “some aspect of earth’s fertility” [Potts]. But, because both went off on the ritual path (again), they missed their true meaning. Image A, in Contenau’s Babylonian Deluge [Paris, 1952], comes from libation vase in the Louvre, Paris. Contenau’s description is literal: “intertwined serpents flanked by two dragons...said to be the fertility god Ninguzzida... . “ [pg. 129]. He said it had “been owned by a prince Gudea c.2200 years ago” [pg. 128]. Image B is the DNA double helix from The Young Scientist Book of the Human Body [a relic of school Biology lessons!] Image C [c.874-860] comes from Ashurnasippal II of Assyria’s palace at Nimrud [Biblical Calah; N. Iraq]. Above the Tree is the winged disc ‘piloted’ by the Assyrian’s and Babylonian’s chief god Ahura-Mazda. [For more on the disc see What is the Winged Disc?]. In Do Pictures Speak Louder...? I discussed the possibility of DNA manipulation by aliens. Once again I’ve presented the evidence so you can decide... .
