


The home is vacant, and neighbors claim they have washed the window to make sure this is no trick. Many call it a miracle. “I think it’s a blessing,” said visitor Susie Beauer. “I think she’s here to tell us something, or maybe warn us.”
Word of the sighting has spread, and candles and flowers now adorn the home’s front steps. But what does it mean? Two children who live in the neighborhood have some answers.
“A lot of kids act bad on the street,” said Ragelio Aguiere. “She just appeared, like it’s a sign to be good or something.”
“People that are not friends can be friends and talk to each other and help each other,” said Margarita Sanchez. “That’s why she’s here.”
Rev. Ray Corkery, the pastor of the local Catholic church, said there will be no formal investigation by the church unless Joliet’s bishop requests one.
BVM Window Image Attracts Pilgrims
JOLIET – Two weeks ago, a boy spotted what he believes to be an outline of the Virgin Mary on a window of a house at 611 Abe Street [Illinois]. Now hundreds have made the pilgrimage to the reported vision.
