New Discoveries At Missouri Mystery Mound
Charles Teague writes of a potentially important new discovery having recently been made during ongoing research into the Missouri Mystery Mound enigma. The acquisition of an aerial photograph of the vicinity has revealed what could be the giant effigy of a man wearing a headdress, necklace and cross, constructed on the ground.
Charles says, "We are not making any definite statements or making an wild claims about what was found but it is pretty wierd looking. We have a picture with a little better definition but I haven't received it from Dragonwalker yet. We have not been to the MMM yet to make an on site inspection but the picture is from the government files of the area. We plan to survey the area when we go up the first of October and check out some leads we have that may lead to something special."
In a following e-mail, Charles reports having found a circled cross on the right leg of the effigy and noted, "When I expanded the image to an 8x10 shot, I noticed that the cross points were butressed. From the work Richard Hoagland has done on the D&M pyramid I know that this is done to reinforce and strengthen a structure and to prevent erosion from the elements. You can see it even on the web site picture but if you expand the image it is without a doubt buttressing. According to what I have learned from Mr. Hoagland's research this proves that a structure exhibiting this type of butressing is artificial and not a natural formation. This can provide additional proof that this formation is man-made."
Inaddition to these discoveries, Charles added that he and Dragonwalker are at present investigating a series of glyphs that cover a sandstone cliff in a twenty foot arc. "These glyphs are of an owl, fox, dove in flight with possible Greek symbols, a 'U' shape with crosses above it and another owl located ten foot across from the first owl image," he revealed. "One figure we have not imaged and examined yet may be a temple and above it a cross within a circle. We don't know how many of these figures will stand up to personal examination but we will examine each one on our next trip."
