BRITISH CAT TALES :.

UNIDENTIFIED BIG CAT SEEN IN NORTHAMPTON GARDEN

I am emailing you from the UK. We recently moved from Southfields, Northampton in the UK to Leicestershire and this morning my old next door neighbour told me about the huge wild cat in her garden last week.

She had put some chopped up old beef she had left over for the birds on her bird table. She then went into the lounge and when she came out she saw this huge cat had managed to get on the bird table and was eating the meat. It then jumped off and sniffing and spaying all the way round the garden perimeter. It did male eye contact with her but did not run off like most domesticated cats.

She said it must have been 3ft [long] when it sat down. It then jumped from the ground straight onto the top of her 5'6" wood fence and disapeared into the garden of the family who live at the rear of her garden. She said the cat was brown/grey with velvet like fur and that the tile was about 2/3 inches wide. She said it looked like a live teddy bear with a wild cats face.

She actually has been going on for ages about this animal call that is very unusual she has heard a lot.Our old house with hers stands next to a small pine wood and the surrounding area backs onto open fields and woods for miles. She also told me that she has found lots of pigeon feathers scatterd around.

I have told her to inform the police or RSPCA but I know she wont. My friend is very reliable and her garden is tiny. I am very worried that this thing whatever it is seems to be so comfortable getting so close to humans on a housing development.
